Mutations, revolutions and migrations, create a social and personal evolution.
Nature lends its power to humanity to aid its progress.
The materials used in the Collection evoke primordial surfaces and the oxidation of metals.
The colors blend together to create undefined effects.
A new color called “oxidation” has been used on a very light and iridescent technical silk
With prints on silk/crepe echoing the nuances of oxidation.
Cotton/linen and cotton lined with “metal” take inspiration from the rock surfaces.

Founded by Ukrainian-born, New York City based Alexey Artemov – jewelry maker, multi-instrumentalist musician and composer, Tacet started as a series of installation pieces, custom orders and large scale restorations. The vision has been refined over years of work, between custom watches, fine jewelry, sculpture, music and theater production. Each and every piece is handmade : carved in wax or pulled, forged, etched, fused, broken down and rebuilt. Tacet is designed to be worn by both men and women, to become a part of a life, get scuffed, scratched and blend with the owner’s personality.
The important point is balance : between rough surfaces and fine materials ; aggressive shapes and light sculptural work. Rooted in music and sound : Tacet refers to a musical term indicating that a voice or instrument is silent. Silence and pause are the ultimate inspirations and subjects of exploration. Sculptured shapes and natural textures that move when worn. Meditative rings that produce sound, each with its own pitch. Chains shaped by hand with every link fused. Solid gold blackened with silver to only reveal its true color with wear and age. Shapes without regard to time or fashion.
During his most recent Paris exhibition Yuhl Jung Designer Moon Kim took time out to shoot and style a series of personal pictures to illustrate the themes of the collection.
The Designer states : “One guiding motif of our label is that of ‘life’ – not a passively dissipated life, but an energetic life actively seeking its own sovereignty. All beings are born with this energy. However, sometimes the rough paths of life may bare us from this innate liveliness, especially in times such as these. This is why I thought it was a proper time to borrow the wisdom of the lotus flower, growing in purity, strength, regardless of its surrounding environment. They may look powerless on the surface, but their existence is the essence of the fervent will of life.”
The collection is intended to protect the wearer and help them stay strong as they continue on the rocky path of life. While shooting the images the Designer sought to capture the ambivalence of the lotus flower through the juxtaposition of the plain haired, pale makeup-less models with the grand volumes and sharp red of the clothing.
“We all are weakened at times. We all may feel powerless at times… This is not our fault. As long as we hold on to this will for life, the universe will always show support. What I wish is that my garments can serve as such help, letting the wearer know that we are never alone.” – Moon Kim

Moohong was educated in the UK and obtained a PhD in Politics. Coming from such a different perspective his collections have a distinctly spiritual and philosophic edge.He believes that mastering the skills and perspective of both social scientist and creative artist seems to offer the chance of living a perfect life.
He seeks to combine these seemingly very different disciplines together in his collections.
The Moohong A/W 2015 collection is titled “TENSION”
The aim of the Designer was to expose and explore the underlying tensions and fault lines running through our society which most people tend to try to disregard and ignore.
The tension that exists between different classes and groups ( both societal and political ) and between the different hierarchical systems.
The Designer wishes to expose this hypocrisy and bring some truth and honesty through the grace and elegance of his minimal design ethic. Different hierarchical roots where represented by variations on certain iconic pieces : A tailored jacket , blue jeans ,street style bomber and a monk’s robe. All brought together within the tension of the A/W collection.
