ANDREW McDONALD SHOEMAKER : M/F : 2015 [PREVIEW]
We will be showing the new M/F collection from Australian shoe creator Andrew Mcdonald this June and I am lucky enough to have these preview shots of some of the styles. Andrew worked with UK Designer Paul Harnden in his formative years and has a very artisanal approach to his craft but always with a twist of something new. We will share a new photo-shoot for this collection as soon as we have the images.

KOFTA : FEMININE A/W 2014/15 : “THE PLATONIC SOLIDS”
There are five perfect 3- dimensional forms. Collectively these are known as The PlatonicSolids and they are the foundation of everything in the physical world. Literally the entire Periodic Table of Elements is based on these same five forms. It was Marcel Proust who said, “The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new lands but seeing with new eyes.”
All the pieces in the collection are hand-made to order : sculpted and moulded from leather.

PARKCHOONMOO F/W 2014/15 [CUBISM] : NYC RUNWAY
For her 25 year anniversary runway collection designer Demi Park has been inspired to go back to the roots of what design is to her personally. The house was founded under the name De’Moo which literally means “out of nothing”. Demi understands ‘Moo’ (nothingness) to mean limitless boundaries and beauty, AW14 is therefore a season of re-interpreting her old collections and “going back to her roots”.
For [ Cubism ] Demi takes the cube as a building block and applies it to her designs as the base for the pattern, giving each garment an angular silhouette.
