Last June , in Paris , we were able to present the first international exhibition by the much talked about London-based Swedish Designer Erik Ohrstrom. With this non-seasonal collection Erik was able to combine both Scandinavian Minimalism with authentic English workmanship and fabrics to produce something both traditional and ultra-modern. The following pictures were taken as a rough guide to the pieces in the collection as seen in Paris during that week.

This season we were able to grab some time and space in order to take some brightly lit detail shots for some of the looks from the new collections. New team member Mr. Jordan D. can be seen modeling some cool combinations captured by on-site image capture artist Amelie S. G. Please enjoy.

ART meets CRAFT meets NATURE in this latest iteration of creative design objects from Japanese Designer Noriake Sakamoto. Timeless and beyond category. Some wearable , some functional , some purely beautiful. Iolom will also be collaborating with other labels such as DEVOA , SONG FOR THE MUTE and ZIGGY CHEN this season as well as presenting their own collection of bags , accessories and art objects in Paris , France , Earth this season. Shown here is merely a mood preview of what they will bring.
We are proud to present a preview of the new S/S 15 collection by Japanese Label DEVOA. As usual this season the label has been pushing forward fabric research and will debut a new kind of Stretch Washi ( Japanese paper ) fabric which they have pioneered We believe this fabric is the first of its kind and has to be seen and felt to be believed. The shooting was once again a collaboration with renowned photographer Usui who is a long term collaborator and fan of the label.
The title for the new collection “ROOTS” stems from the images of nature which the Designer was inspired by when creating the pieces. Her mood board was filled with pictures of branches, trees and roots reflecting the organic, raw and earthy feel of the materials and clothes. This collection also represents the putting down of roots on a new plateau in preparation for a journey forward into new ideas and personal growth.
Song for the Mute’s unique aesthetic encapsulates both tailoring and the avant-garde with a sportswear edge while still offering the highest quality fabrics and construction.

We wanted to share these cool pictures of the Owner / Buyer of Rizm Closet ( in Morioka Japan ) Mr. Nakamura wearing Ziggy Chen S/S 14. We think it is always so much better if the buyer of a store can actually wear the collections themselves and M. Nakamura certainly brings a very Japanese cool to what he is wearing.

I wanted to share this test shoot we did last Autumn in the few remaining hours of sunlight we had available. We only had one amazing ZIGGY CHEN coat for the shoot which actually belonged to the model, so its a good chance to see what Ziggy Chen looks like worn naturally around the beloved Swedish capital. Locations are the streets around Hornsgaten and the harbor near to the Old Town. This session also provided the shot for our new invite. Many thanks to Amelie Sjöstrand Gereholt who was the photographer and Dr. Joakim Jambeck PhD who provided the coat ( and wore it in these images ).
