OFF TO PARIS
PUSH THE SKY AWAY
New Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds.
We have not yet heard the album, but the cover is worth buying on its own.
LIFE IN SWEDEN
The Knife are a little bit too popular, especially in “fashion” circles. But this is pretty interesting. And thankfully no electronic steel drum type sounds on the whole thing.

AOI KOTSUHIROI : NOTHING BUT WORDS TO LEARN TO LIE
We are very privileged to be able to share with you some pictures from the latest work of Aoi Kotsuhiroi.
A truly independent and mysterious artist who never gives too much away verbally whilst simultaneously seemingly revealing all through her work. Uncompromising and poetic, supplying more questions than answers, she is a refreshing antidote to commonplace commercial overload.
Dieter Rams : 10 Principles of “Good Design”
Good Design Is Innovative : The possibilities for innovation are not, by any means, exhausted. Technological development is always offering new opportunities for innovative design. But innovative design always develops in tandem with innovative technology, and can never be an end in itself.
Good Design Makes a Product Useful : A product is bought to be used. It has to satisfy certain criteria, not only functional but also psychological and aesthetic. Good design emphasizes the usefulness of a product while disregarding anything that could possibly detract from it.
Good Design Is Aesthetic : The aesthetic quality of a product is integral to its usefulness because products are used every day and have an effect on people and their well-being. Only well-executed objects can be beautiful.
Good Design Makes A Product Understandable : It clarifies the product’s structure. Better still, it can make the product clearly express its function by making use of the user’s intuition. At best, it is self-explanatory.
Good Design Is Unobtrusive : Products fulfilling a purpose are like tools. They are neither decorative objects nor works of art. Their design should therefore be both neutral and restrained, to leave room for the user’s self-expression.
Good Design Is Honest : It does not make a product more innovative, powerful or valuable than it really is. It does not attempt to manipulate the consumer with promises that cannot be kept.
Good Design Is Long-lasting : It avoids being fashionable and therefore never appears antiquated. Unlike fashionable design, it lasts many years – even in today’s throwaway society.
Good Design Is Thorough Down to the Last Detail : Nothing must be arbitrary or left to chance. Care and accuracy in the design process show respect towards the consumer.
Good Design Is Environmentally Friendly : Design makes an important contribution to the preservation of the environment. It conserves resources and minimises physical and visual pollution throughout the lifecycle of the product.
Good Design Is as Little Design as Possible : Less, but better – because it concentrates on the essential aspects, and the products are not burdened with non-essentials. Back to purity, back to simplicity.

“ANOTHER WAY” : SPECIAL PRESENTATION BY PROJECT 3.14 MOSCOW
We were excited to receive the following video and exclusive pictures from the recent special presentation of one of the best stores in the world : PROJECT 3.14. in Moscow:
PROJECT 3.14 is owned and run by Sasha : a visionary buyer who has supported STEALTH-related Labels such as JULIUS , DEVOA , AREA , The VIRIDI-ANNE , ATTACHMENT etc from the very beginning.
We see him as the Ambassador for these labels in his part of the world and the new version of the store ( and the video ) also features other cutting-edge designers such as :
BORIS BIDJAN SABERI
CAROL CHRISTIAN POELL
LOST&FOUND
MA+
ETC
Some exclusively in Russia.
The stated aim of Sasha and his team is to “create a unique and extremely special space which combines art and atmosphere to really focus and showcase the most special of the artisan designers”. Hence the name of this opening presentation to introduce the new store to press, friends and special clients : “ANOTHER WAY”
The event and show took place actually inside their new 300m2 Boutique which is located in the middle of Moscow but in a secret, basement underground location. We hope to do a full article on the new store soon but you can get an idea of it from the pictures and video. Here is a link to an old article written by MARC STEALTH, about the older but equally awesome first store, for SCOUTE magazine : http://scoute.org/retail/project314
The aim of the presentation was to show the direction of the Boutique, the work they have done to create a new language of style in Russia and to emphasize the unique attitude they have. Sasha and Anton who helms the store both aim to create a unique atmosphere in which to feature the best Designers and showcase the quality and attitude that they display in the ultimate space. They want to go past the old idea of a store being just a place for commercial transactions. They want to create the atmosphere of a museum, a gallery and an ongoing, perpetually changing installation. A store which offers its clients something more.
The pictures we have featured include items by Julius and Area as Devoa had already sold out !!
You can contact Sasha ( if you are lucky ! ) or Anton for enquiries and special requests etc on :
The new address is MOSCOW, TRUBNAYA STREET, 32 bld.3
